Who We Are: Learning to Apply our Statement of Faith (Part 2)

Led by Billy Moore

Sundays at 9am | Jan. 12th-Feb. 23rd | Fellowship Hall

Over four weeks, we’ll dive into the remaining EFCA statements of faith. Through thoughtful discussion and exploration, we’ll examine how cultural and denominational perspectives shape understanding, while focusing on why Hillcrest and the EFCA hold to these specific beliefs.

Each session will ask the "why" behind the statements and, most importantly, the "so what"—how these truths impact our daily lives and interactions within the church and the world.

Topics include:
  • Week 1: Jesus & the Holy Spirit
  • Week 2: The Human Condition & The Work of Christ
  • Week 3: Responses, Eternal Destiny & The Church
  • Week 4: Christ’s Return & Christian Living

Whether you’re continuing from Part 1 or joining for the first time, this class will challenge and encourage you to apply our shared faith with wisdom, unity, and grace.

The Gospel-Centered Life

Led by Pastor Josh Pugsley

Sundays at 9am | beginning March 2nd | Fellowship Hall

Christians sometimes view the gospel as merely the ABCs of our faith—something we learn at the beginning and eventually move beyond. In reality, the gospel is the A to Z. It’s not just a stepping stone to greater things but the very foundation that shapes our entire faith journey.

The gospel is simple enough for a five-year-old to understand and believe, yet its depth and beauty hold unending treasure that we will continue to discover for eternity. It is the good news of Jesus, revealing His glorious work throughout history, culminating in the cross. While embracing the gospel begins with belief in Christ, its impact continues to shape and bear fruit in our lives forever.

In this series, we will explore why living a gospel-centered life matters and what that looks like in our daily walk. We look forward to having you join us!
