Isaiah 62 – Jerusalem the Center of It All
If we believe this passage is the Word of God, then what should be different about our lives?
1) We will look for our salvation to Jerusalem, or more specifically to the One who hailed from Jerusalem. Remember, this was written 800 years before He came. But it was meant to point us to Him.
2) But we must also draw the principle from this passage that God honors the ground tread by His Son, which means He honors His people. This is how He sees us, as beautiful, glorious, arrayed in royal splendor. He protects us day and night, showers us with His gifts. It is not because of us, but because of the One who lives in us. So if this is how God sees us, then this is how we ought to see ourselves. How dare we think differently! How dare we insult the bride of the LORD! Amen?
